1. What activities are involved in this event?

At this year’s PAW Festival event, we are excited to offer talks by industry professions on a variety of topics, such as:

•       Animal Nutrition and Diet

•       Special Exotic Animal Care

•       Animal Medical Health

•       Pet Mental Health

•       Pet Adoption & Fostering

•       General Pet Health, and more

These talks will be available on our websites under “Topics.” We will also be hosting a community room and live Q&A zoom call with our speakers later on in the day if you have any specific questions, concerns, or stories you would like to share.

2. Is this a free event?

Yes, it is free! But we are gladly accepting donations on behalf of the Kamloops Humane Society and Paw Prints Animal Rescue Foundation to help better the lives of animals in our community and provide much-needed support for the people who give their time volunteering their efforts to help these animals. 3. How long is the event? Do I need to attend the whole event?

PAWFestival starts at 2:00 PM (PST) on April 8, 2021, with a community space for everyone to share their stories, show off their pets, and connect with other animal lovers. The professions will join us later on at 5:00 PM (PST) in breakout rooms for the 2-hour Q&A session.

We encourage everyone to attend the whole event to enjoy all the exciting stories and tips & tricks. However, we understand your time constraints, so feel free to hop in during the event whenever you have time.

4. Does this event include all animals?

Definitely! We will cover the topics about our PAW friends, as well as fishies, birdies, and other exotic pets.

6. Is this online event safe?

We closely follow the Guidelines for Virtual Events, and we kindly ask you to do so:

  • Please be kind, open-minded, and respectful of everyone’s opinions and experiences. Do not use malicious or offensive speech.

  • All the breakout room chat and discussion are confidential.

  • Our professions are giving out answers and recommendations for some common animal health problem. However, those do not act as medical advice. Please consult a vet clinic or hospital prior to any animal medical treatment.

7. Can my pet or kids join?

100%! We encourage bringing your babies into the event for some fun and interactions.
